Tesco UK expands home delivery electric fleet with 151 IVECO eDaily vehicles

The first unit of 151 eDaily chassis cabs has been delivered to Tesco, with the remaining units to join its electric IVECO fleet later in the year.

IVECO is supporting the supermarket on its decarbonisation journey with its eDaily vehicles in a two-battery configuration specified to optimise payload and range.

The end of Road to Zero

Media interest this week was around International Women’s Day, which was Friday last week, and the government scrapping Road to Zero.

It may sound weird but there are similarities in how I think about these.

Government transport plan fails to provide economic security

The Maritime Union says the new Draft Government Policy Statement (GPS) on Land Transport 2024–2034 fails to plan for a resilient and secure transport system, putting the New Zealand economy at risk.

The previous Government introduced coastal shipping as a new activity class in its GPS on land transport in 2021.

It invested $30 million in the coastal shipping sector which resulted in new vessels coming onto the New Zealand coast, reducing road congestion, improving resilience, and reducing carbon emissions.

Isuzu Motors Limited and TIER IV, have agreed to form a capital and business alliance for the development of autonomous driving systems for route buses. In this tie-up, Isuzu will invest six billion yen (approximately 40 million US dollars) in TIER IV.

Kenworth has introduced the new PACCAR TX-12 PRO automated transmission for Class 6-7 and light Class 8 vocational applications at the NTEA Work Truck Week 2024.
