Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 on most extensive test run in the company’s history

Mercedes-Benz Trucks is planning for this summer the most extensive test run in the history of the company – with its new electric flagship eActros 600. The intention is for two near-series prototypes of the battery-electric long-haul truck to travel across more than 20 European countries, each completing more than 13,000 kilometers with 40 tons total towing weight.

As part of the SH1 Papakura to Drury project in South Auckland, a new (second) southbound on-ramp at Papakura Interchange has been built over the past 15 months and will open to traffic shortly.
From 5am on Tuesday 7 May, if you are travelling west on Beach Road (from the Papakura side) and want to head south on SH1, you can no longer turn right onto the southbound loop on-ramp. A second new on-ramp has been built so you can turn left off Beach Road onto SH1 to head south.

Drivers need to be ready for ten nights of night closures on State Highway 2 Remutaka Hill, beginning 19 May.
Mark Owen, Regional Manager Lower North Island / Top of the South, says two weeks of night closures are planned - 19 to 24 May and 26 to 31 May.

Drivers using State Highway 60 between Motueka and Richmond need to be ready for night closures starting Sunday, 19 May to allow contractors to install road safety barriers on the Ruby Bay Bypass.
Overnight closures are planned from 19 May to 31 May, between 7 pm and 5:30 am, Sunday to Thursday. These works are weather-dependent and may be extended to 6 June if bad weather occurs.
Local road detours will be available, and there will be no night closures on Fridays or Saturdays.
