Volvo New Zealand has announced sales start for the revamped heavy duty range. The new Euro 6 lineup arrives with a raft of new features as well as the powerful new D17 engine with a new range of horsepower ratings stretching from 600hp to 780hp.

Detour planned during one night closure for part of HB Expressway

A stretch of State Highway 2 Hawke’s Bay Expressway, just south of the airport, will be closed for one night of planned maintenance.

The state highway will close between 9pm on Wednesday 26 June and reopen at 4am on Thursday 27 June, in time for early morning airport traffic.

Crews will be working on Ahuriri Estuary Bridge, next to the old bridge estuary walkway.

Freight industry breathes a sigh of relief as NZTA announces Brynderwyns reopening

NZTA's announcement that the Brynderwyn's are set to open to two-way traffic from 11.59pm Wednesday 26 June, just ahead of Matariki weekend is welcome news for both the Northland community and the freight industry, many of whom have had to cope with lengthy diversions while the works have been underway.

The fact contractors have had to move 240,000 cubic metres of soil to create road shoulder space and stabilise the hillside illustrates the sheer scale of the job.
