Landmark transport survey about to close

Monday is the last chance for members of the road transport industry to have a say on what are the key issues affecting them.
Transporting New Zealand’s landmark look at the industry, the 2025 National Road Freight Survey, is being run by independent survey firm Research New Zealand and closes at noon on Monday, March 31.

This week I had the pleasure of attending the TR Group launch of its suite of hydrogen trucks including their 50max capable prime mover at Hampton Downs Racetrack. The Police are on track to have powers to screen drivers for impairing drugs after legislation to enable roadside drug testing passed its third reading today, Transport Minister Chris Bishop says.
“Drivers who consume impairing drugs are a significant danger on our roads. In recent years, around 30 percent of road deaths have resulted from crashes involving drivers who had consumed impairing prescription or illicit drugs,” Mr Bishop says.
