NZTA app now available in app stores

The New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA) app is now available for everyone to use, following successful public Beta testing from May through to July.
“The NZTA app is a secure digital ‘one stop shop’ for drivers to access their licence and vehicle information, as well as making on-line payments,” says Liz Maguire, Chief Digital Officer at NZTA.

Hasn’t the Olympics been exciting! Well done to all our medal winners in rugby sevens, men’s triathlon, and rowing! And there’s more action to come.

Regular travellers between Wellington and Wairarapa need to plan ahead for a night closure of State Highway Remutaka Hill in August.
One night closure is planned for Sunday night, 11 August. The route will be closed between 9 pm and 4 am.
The closure is for essential maintenance work. Doing the work at night under a full closure when traffic volumes are lower minimises disruption for drivers. It is also safer for road crews and allows work to be completed much faster.

The Government has introduced legislation that will enable roadside drug testing as part of our commitment to improve road safety, Transport Minister Simeon Brown says.

The Maritime Union says the loss of a New Zealand operated coastal freighter and 12 jobs due to the economic downturn threatens the resilience of our supply chain.
