Kenworth Introduces New PACCAR TX-12 PRO Automated Transmission

Kenworth has introduced the new PACCAR TX-12 PRO automated transmission for Class 6-7 and light Class 8 vocational applications at the NTEA Work Truck Week 2024. The PACCAR TX-12 PRO builds upon the existing PACCAR TX-12 transmission, which was designed to be one of the most efficient on-highway automated transmissions.

NZ super trucks return to Teretonga park

The NAPA Auto Parts New Zealand Super Truck Championship pays its annual visit to Teretonga Park in Invercargill this weekend of 16/17 March with a lot of interest as to whether Lower Hutt driver Alex Little can win the Mobil Delvac 1 Trophy for the sixth time. 

Little first won the trophy in 2018 and has won it every year since, apart from 2020 when the event was cancelled due to the nationwide lockdown. The trophy is awarded to the driver that wins the round each time the championship visits Teretonga Park.

Reminder of SH29 Kaimai Range closures – 17 to 21 March

Following last month’s night closures, the second scheduled closures on State Highway 29 Kaimai Range will take place over 5 nights from Sunday 17 March to Thursday 21 March, from 8pm to 3.30am each night.

The closures are needed to undertake asphalt renewals and other maintenance such as clearing drains, sign maintenance and road marking.

This will result in a smoother, safer road for motorists and the full closure approach is safer for our crews and road users.
