Industry awards return

On the back of the news that the Road Transport Forum Conference is back in 2021, the RTF is also pleased to announce the return of the New Zealand Road Transport Industry Awards.

The awards were set up a number of years ago to recognise best practice and achievement in the industry. As well as the Supreme Contribution to the Road Transport Industry Award, there will also be awards for health and safety, the Young Driver of the Year and for the Outstanding Contribution by a Woman in the Road Transport Industry.

Entry guidelines and the nomination form are available for download from the RTF website. Nominations are also open for the Castrol Truck Driver Hero Award, so if you know someone who has – through their actions – helped others while out on the road, go to the RTF or

NZ Truck & Driver magazine websites to make a nomination.

The RTF Conference will take place on September 24-26 in Invercargill, with the NZ Road Transport Hall of Fame to be held on the evening of the 24th. This will provide out-of-town delegates with the opportunity to combine the two events in the one trip, so save the dates!
