The numbers are a decrease from last year’s 356 registrations in August while the 2025 YTD total of 2482 reveals a 6.72% decline in this year’s registrations.

However, the trailer segment is running ahead of last year’s numbers. With 86 registrations in August and a total of 653 units YTD, the market is ahead of the 621 units achieved in the same period last year. However the market is still well behind the 2018 record registrations of 1183.

In the overall 4.5t to maximum GVM truck market, Isuzu is gradually edging out its leadership over Hino. Isuzu achieved 38 registrations in August, taking its YTD total to 393 units and its share of the market now stands at 17.0%. This is down on 2026 totals of 458 YTD and 61 monthly.
