Upcoming Rollover Prevention Workshops in the South Island

In a continued effort to enhance road safety for drivers of high-sided vehicles, a series of Rollover Prevention workshops is scheduled across the South Island. These hands-on sessions, organised by local transport authorities, aim to equip participants with practical skills to avoid dangerous rollover incidents on winding rural roads and highways. 

Christchurch Workshop - March 15, 2026. 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Canterbury Transport Safety Centre, 123 Safety Drive, Christchurch. Johnathan Reeves, NZTA Senior Road Safety Instructor (20+ years experience in heavy vehicle training)

Dunedin Workshop - March 22, 2026. 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Otago Polytechnic Training Grounds, 85 Forth Street, Dunedin. Sarah Patel, Accredited Rollover Prevention Specialist- Invercargill Workshop - March 29, 2026. 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Southland Vehicle Testing Station, 456 Dee Street, Invercargill. Mike Thompson, South Island Freight Safety Expert

Each workshop includes interactive simulations, vehicle handling demonstrations, and discussions on load securing best practices. Spaces are limited to 20 participants per session to ensure personalised instruction.

Early registration is recommended as sessions fill quickly. Cost: $50 per participant, including materials and morning tea.
