Transport industry event line up takes shape
Posted: 01-Feb-2024 |

The upcoming TMS Teletrac Navman Technology | Maintenance | Safety Conference & Exhibition is experiencing incredibly strong support not only from industry, sponsors, and exhibitors but also from other New Zealand and Australian-based transport associations.

Organisers view this as a promising indication that the industry is committed to collaborative efforts, showcasing leadership, and implementing optimal solutions. This collective approach is anticipated to contribute to positive outcomes, fostering enhanced collaboration with agencies, regulators, government entities, and the industry at large.

Interest from trade exhibitors has been phenomenal with over 50 exhibitors locked in. Exhibition space is now at a premium. Depending on the service or product some flexibility remains from organisers, though this ability is fast running out.

The overall event line up is progressing with the unveiling of Truck of the Year Australasia 2024 planned on March 13th at the opening of the conference.

2024 Teletrac Navman Technology, Maintenance and Safety Awards and Networking event is to be held at Majestic on Durham, Wednesday March 13th at 6pm. This event is a great opportunity to catch up with colleagues and the awards promise to celebrate the very best within the transport industry.

Award nominations are now open, and nominations can be sent to bill.james@trucking.nz.

• PartsTrader Technology - A company or entrepreneur who has a technological solution or

product that enhances the future of our industry.

• bp Maintenance - A most outstanding technician who is dedicated to continuous

improvement.

• ACC New Zealand Safety - A company or individual with a safety initiative promoting safety

Attracting and retaining talent in the industry remains a significant challenge for us so in addition to a robust line up of guest speakers, the event is placing a strong emphasis on the Careers Transport Expo as a way to display the industry to potential future talent.

Senior students from across the South Island are invited to attend the Careers Transport Expo, scheduled for Wednesday, March 13th, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre. The Expo aims to inspire upcoming generations by exploring exciting opportunities and presenting a wide range of career pathways within the transport industry. The Expo is also open to adults seeking a career change and is a great opportunity to engage with industry experts and gain firsthand experience of what a career in the transport industry might entail.
