The NAPA Auto Parts NZ Super Truck Championship is in action this weekend as the 2024-25 summer motor racing season begins at Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon.

The Feilding circuit hosts its annual OctoberFAST meeting with the Super Trucks championship opener among the main attractions alongside the NAPA Central Muscle Cars, GTRNZ classes and NZ V8 Utes.

The Manfeild round is sponsored by Central House Movers and the Super Truck grid for the coming season is bolstered with the return of six-time champion Troy Wheeler in his Freightliner to challenge defending champ Alex Little (Freightliner) and front runners Brent Collins (Freightliner), Shane Gray (Kenworth) and Dave West (Freightliner).

Spectator admission is free this weekend with a collection of non-perishable food items at the gate to support the Manchester House Social Services Food bank.

The 2024-25 Super Truck Championship will feature five weekends of racing.

Following the Christmas-New Year holiday break the Super Truck teams head south for the first of three events with Levels Motor Raceway at Timaru hosting the second round on January 24-26.

Back-to-back weekends of South Island racing take place at Invercargill’s Teretonga Park Raceway on March 14-16 and then at Euromarque Motorsport Park Ruapuna near Christchurch on March 21-23.

The calendar then brings a return to Manfeild Circuit Chris Amon for the April 4-6 championship finale.
