Due to recent bad weather, more time is needed to complete improved safety barriers for State Highway 2 Petone

Contractors will be back on site again on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights (16, 17 and 20 June), meaning that State Highway 2 will be closed to southbound traffic between 9pm and 4:30am on Sunday, Monday, and Thursday nights. 

As per previous closures, a local road detour will be available via Lower Hutt. It will require extra travel time, and drivers should plan their journeys accordingly.
