One more sleep till the Bombay Truck Show
Posted: 17-Jan-2025 |
All roads lead to the hillside at Bombay tomorrow morning for the third edition of the popular Allied Petroleum/Transfleet Trailers Bombay Truck Show.
The charity event at the Bombay Rugby Club grounds combines trade displays featuring new trucks and trailers with a capacity 465-strong entry of trucks competing for a huge range of prizes in the UDC Finance Show & Shine.
There’s also live music and children’s entertainment plus a wide range of food trucks on site to make for an enjoyable family day out.
The inaugural Bombay show was held in 2020 with the second taking place in January 2023 after being delayed by Covid restrictions.
All of the proceeds from the event will again benefit three community groups – Franklin Hospice, the Leukemia Blood Foundation, and the Bombay Rugby Club. The 2023 show generated more than $83,000, split between the three organisations – and total fund raising from the two previous shows, plus the funds donated from the Covid-postponed 2022 event, is now over $151,000.
The venue is the Bombay Rugby Club grounds at Paparata Rd. Trucks will begin entering the venue from 5am with the gates open to the public from 10am. Entry is by gold coin donation.
