Heavy vehicle drivers are invited to take a well-deserved break at the NZI Truckie Rest Zone in Glasnevin on Wednesday, October 16. This initiative aims to address the critical issue of driver fatigue, a major contributor to road accidents.

The NZI Truckie Rest Zone provides an opportunity for drivers to pull in and refresh before continuing their journeys. Participants can enjoy complimentary refreshments, receive health checks, and engage in valuable discussions with NZI’s Fleet Fit experts about strategies for managing driver fatigue and ensuring safety on the road.

“Fatigue is a significant risk factor for heavy vehicle operators, and our goal is to support drivers in staying safe and healthy while on the job,” said a representative from NZI. “We encourage all drivers to take advantage of this opportunity to rest and recharge.”

The event is organised with the support of the NZ Police Commercial Vehicle Safety Team and Hato Hone St John, highlighting a collective effort to promote road safety and well-being for those in the trucking industry.
