Gareth McFarlane will start at Hall’s on Monday 31st March. With 29 years of experience and a proven track record in driving performance and transformation across New Zealand companies, he comes with a wealth of experience in supply chain logistics. 

Gareth McFarlane is an experienced supply chain leader with over 25 years of operational and strategic experience in New Zealand and Europe. He most recently served as General Manager Logistics at Coda Group, a role he has held since December 2022, after spending six months as General Manager Operations within the same company.

Previously, he worked for Foodstuffs North Island Limited for 16 years, where he held various leadership roles, including Head of Operations (UNI Ambient), Group Transport Manager, and Acting General Manager Supply Chain. During his tenure, he managed New Zealand's largest FMCG warehouse and transport operations for chilled, frozen, and ambient commodities .

His earlier career includes work as a Management Consultant at Price Waterhouse Management Consultants, focusing on business transformation and process improvement projects across multiple sectors in the UK, and roles in logistics management in New Zealand at Progressive Enterprises and Inghams Group Limited .

Gareth holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Auckland and a Graduate Diploma of Management Studies from the University of Waikato . He is skilled in change management and project delivery, with multiple endorsements for his expertise .
