May 2025 Issue of NZ Truck & Driver out next week

The May 2025 issue of New Zealand Truck & Driver is now on sale with the cover and Giti Tyres Big Test putting the spotlight on the New Generation Kenworth K220.

The Douch Transport K220 is on the daily long-haul between Auckland and Palmerston with a refrigerated quad-semi and it provides our first chance to sample the new Eaton Cummins Endurant XD Pro automated transmission – an important part of the K220 development programme. 

This month our Fleet Focus is in Waiuku to look at the changes happening at Knight & Dickey. The well-known red and yellow fleet is being modernised, and we also have a historical viewpoint with a visit the impressive museum that was created by the late Graham Dickey. 

Our May news section previews what to expect when the Brisbane Truck Show opens its doors on May 15, and we look at Fulton Hogan’s first move into electric trucks with Volvo.
