Hot on the heels of reclaiming the top spot in the 2023 new truck sales charts, Isuzu Trucks New Zealand has announced the winners of the annual Grandmaster dealership awards. 

The Grandmaster accolade is presented to the best performing dealerships in the nationwide network and winners are selected based on vehicle and parts sales, service, facility standards, commitment to technical training through to administration considerations. 

CAL Isuzu Auckland (Group Sales Manager/ Branch Manager – Jared Keenan) was announced as the winning metropolitan dealer, while CAL Isuzu Tauranga (Dealer Principal – Steve Hoyne) claimed the title as the best regional dealer.

“This isn’t the first time that two Dealerships from CAL Group have taken out both the Metropolitan and Regional awards in the same year,” said Dave Ballantyne, General Manager of Isuzu Trucks New Zealand.

“It demonstrates that the CAL Group has systems and processes in place which ensure customer experience and satisfaction are key priorities, as well as place importance on other vital measures which contribute to overall success.

“The two dealerships have both been previous winners and battled back after a tough couple of years, dealing with challenges in the industry and growing their in-house engineering business to provide a ‘one stop shop’ operation. 

“Their efforts have played a pivotal part in getting Isuzu Trucks back to the Number One spot for truck registrations in 2023.” 

The Managing Director of CAL Group, Ashok Parbhu, was ecstatic with the recognition.
