The 2025 Brisbane Truck Show is set to showcase Isuzu's all-new model line-up, with a strong emphasis on safety, driver well-being, and state-of-the-art technology. This new range embodies Isuzu’s evolved ‘SEE’ engineering approach, focusing on Safety, Economy, and Environment. Isuzu has broken down its overarching safety philosophy into three pillars: Foundational safety (improving driving ergonomics and comfort), Active safety (preventing accidents), and Passive safety (protecting occupants and pedestrians during accidents). Together, these upgrades aim to minimize incidents and enhance damage mitigation in the event of a crash.
The MY25 N Series is built on a new advanced electrical architecture, introducing seven new active safety features alongside the eight existing systems in the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Key new features include Full Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (F-ACC) on all two-pedal models, Miss Acceleration Mitigation (MAM) for select models, Bi-LED headlamps with integrated Daytime Running Lamps (DRL), Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR) utilizing stereo camera technology, and an Intelligent Speed Limiter (ISL) to help drivers maintain legal speed limits.
For medium-duty trucks, the F Series takes a significant leap in safety. Every model, including the well-known 4×4 variants, now features a comprehensive suite of 12 baseline active and passive safety systems (e.g., Auto Lighting System). Higher-spec variants, such as the FV, are equipped with up to 17 safety features, delivering extensive protection and advanced driver assistance. F-ACC is widely adopted across nearly all F Series models, barring some manual and 4×4 variants.
At the heavy end, the FX-FY Series matches the medium-duty range for safety. All models come standard with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), complemented by F-ACC to elevate highway safety. Importantly, the new models now introduce Lane Keep Assist (LKA) to the heavy segment—a highly valued addition for fleets looking to improve both safety and regulatory compliance.
Isuzu’s cab design overhaul dramatically enhances cabin safety, visibility, storage, and overall ergonomics. Drivers benefit from a new ergonomic suspension seat—standard on many models—delivering greater comfort and minimizing fatigue. The optimized driving position offers a wider steering tilt, telescopic range, improved pedal layout, and more accessible controls. A smaller-diameter, user-friendly steering wheel boosts driver control, especially in urban environments.
Further supporting safety and operational efficiency, a new seven-inch, high-visibility meter cluster display now provides vital safety controls, trip data, and vehicle status information right in the driver’s line of sight. Additional improvements include upgraded glass specifications with IR/UV cut glass, reducing UV penetration by 99% and IR by 59%, which enhances visibility, prevents sunburn and retinal damage, and improves cabin insulation.
Isuzu’s attention to driver experience goes beyond headline safety technologies. Small but significant improvements—such as IR/UV cut glass, advanced seating, and intuitive dash layout—contribute to a workspace where drivers are comfortable, alert, and protected. This meticulous approach aims to attract new drivers to the industry while ensuring longtime operators remain loyal to the brand.
