Fruehauf NZ Ltd is proud to announce that construction has begun on our new 7,500 square metre facility, designed to support our continued growth and meet the future demands of New Zealand’s road transport industry. 

The new site brings major enhancements to capability, efficiency, and sustainability, including: Additional production lines to increase capacity. Advanced manufacturing technology throughout the factory. Two new 25-metre bake ovens. A fully enclosed internal sandblasting shop. Six drive-through repair bays. Enhanced staff amenities and improved workflow design. Solar power installation for the paint-shops, improving energy efficiency. A strong focus on reducing waste from our suppliers and lifting overall sustainability performance 

Managing Director Jeff Mear says the development reflects both the company’s growth and its commitment to innovation.

“After 55 years on our current site, it was clear we had outgrown the facility. It was no longer viable to keep pace with industry demand. We’re incredibly excited to see this project underway and anticipate completion before April 2027.”

This investment marks a significant step in strengthening New Zealand manufacturing, reinforcing Fruehauf’s commitment to quality, sustainability, and industry leadership.
