event drives into a two-day format for the first time early next month at the Mystery Creek Events Centre near Hamilton.

The final details of the August 5-6 EROAD Fleet Days programme are now being put in place with new displays and attractions to fill the expanded two-day programme.

The event will explore the role of transport in New Zealand’s economic future and focus on the challenges facing the transport network.

A roster of keynote speakers is headlined on the first day of the programme by Kahu Helicopters CEO and Chief Pilot Mark Law giving a presentation on the Whakaari White Island eruption rescue.

And on Day 2 former Prime Minister Sir John Key will return to EROAD Fleet Day – he spoke at the 2024 event – to present on global issues and local opportunities.

Other lead speakers are New Zealand rally star Hayden Paddon, entrepreneur Grant Baker, and Carla Hoorweg, CEO of the ANCAP new vehicle safety authority.

EROAD Fleet Days features speaker presentations, panel discussions, indoor and outdoor trade displays, live action events, and new vehicle test drives on a dedicated course, along with networking opportunities.

Among the new events for 2026 is the Hankook Truck Show & Shine which offers $8000 in cash prizes, including $5000 for the winning truck. Entries remain open until July 31.

Opening from 9am on Wednesday August 5 the Day 1 programme runs till a 3.30pm networking session. The Thursday programme runs 9am till 3pm.
