Heartland Bank Partners with Hino
Posted: 21-May-2018 |

Heartland Bank last week announced its partnership with Hino Distributors NZ to create Hino Finance. The service will offer online finance options for those wanting to purchase new and old Hino trucks.

Hino Finance was born out of a New Zealand based bank wanting to bring its small-medium enterprise model to new markets, including the road transport industry.

The key selling point to this merger will be the online component. Until now, Hino had recommended third-party finance options, but never under the Hino banner.

This move will bring its financial solutions in-line with its competitors, who also offer finance options with their brand attached.

Heartland Bank's head of business, Peter Griffin, reckons that Hino finance will save transport business owners time and money.

"The beauty of the offering is that applicants don't have to take time off the road or out of the office to visit the bank to inquire about finance. They can access up to 100 percent finance online (including GST) with payment terms up to seven years," he says.

Darren Salt, the newly appointed general manager of Hino New Zealand, says he is pleased that Hino can now offer customers an online finance option under the Hino Finance banner.

"We know trucks and Heartland Bank knows how to finance them, so this partnership is about taking the best of both and packaging it up for our customers in a simple, online offering," he says.
