The Proactive Drive youth driver education programme will benefit from just over $10,000 raised during this year’s Mobil 1 Delvac NZ Road Transport Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame event included an online silent auction which featured several unique items, notably guitars signed by maestros Bruce Springsteen and Willie Nelson, authenticated signed photos from sporting legends Kobe Bryant, Michael Schumacher, and Lewis Hamilton, as well as fantastic packages such as a brew your own beer experience, various holidays and in-home dining experiences.
“We are proud to say the auction raised over $10k for Proactive Drive. It was great to offer such high quality auction items for this year’s event, and these were well received,” says Adam Reinsfield of TW Events.
The Proactive Drive Youth Driver Education Trust is making driving safer for young New Zealanders. It’s free for teenagers who already hold a driver’s licence, and gives them the opportunity to take part in courses that equip them in the event something unexpected happens while they are on the road.
Proactive Drive courses are a combination of theory and practical, hands-on lessons. The programme is also available to corporate drivers.
